We have had a life long interest in wildlife and the countryside and had become increasingly concerned about the loss of bio-diversity and the degradation of the farmland around us. We were concerned also with the increasing intensification of livestock farming with many animals kept permanently inside large sheds.
It is our belief that farm animals should lead as natural a life as possible. We decided to join the Soil Association 12 years ago and converted our farm to an Organic holding and are subject to their strict rules and inspections.

5 years ago we opened our Farm Shop and started to sell our organic produce. From our shop we sell beef, lamb, pork, veal, sausages and beef burgers. More recently we developed our dairy and cheese room where we now make two organic soft cheeses and double cream. We continue to encourage a diversity of wild life on our farm, in the fields, woods, ponds and lake and with the benefit of two Kent Wildlife Nature Reserves situated within our land, we have seen a steady increase in birds, butterflies, insects and mammals.
